Can someone tell me if this bottle has been reproduced? I have seen the originals with the plain, smooth lip and the comma after WEST, but never one with an applied lip. I have one here and wonder about it.
okay here you go in mckearins book
the GII-62 is the one with the comma after the west the GII-61 and 63 ,64, 65,dont have the comma and all of the flask from the GII-61 to the GII-65 had plain lip, double rounded collar, broad sloping collar, and came with and without pontil marks and as far as i have seen there has been no rproduction of this specific mold hope that helps you out
p.s GII-61 ( quart)
GII-62 (pint)
GII-63 (half pint)
GII-64 (pint)
GII-65 (half pint)
there are small diffrences in each variation if you can post a picture front and back and let me know the height i can let you know which one you have
thanks bob
hello for your information that is a GII-62 with a broad sloping collar looks to me like a very nice olive green with some yellow to it all in all a beautiful bottle and definately not a reproduction these are attributted to the (willington glass works ) duh as stated by the name me be dummy. if it was a half pint it would have been GII-63 but it would not have the comma i hope that helped you out
