Good going, Jim! Let us see some individual pictures when you can. How do you advertise your bottle wants to the general public?
I have a few Craigslist ads, I had cards made up at Vista Print that I give to everyone at the flea markets and auctions I go to, and I have a sign in the back window of my work van so people behind me are always seeing it. The biggest and best thing that seems to help me add bottles is posting alot of pictures, which I now add my email address to, so people doing Google searches about bottles they find from Paterson NJ see me as the person to contact. That's why I write 'Paterson NJ Bottles Wanted' it in my signature here on ABN as well, I bet you I have been contacted by 30-40 different people because of those two things, it has resulted in me adding at least 50 bottles thru the years.

A Google search of 'Paterson NJ bottle' will bring up about 60%-70% of my posts from here and other forums, and at least 50% of the Google images are of my bottles posted on the forums. I wish I had known to do it when I first joined because it may have paid off even more, but I recommend adding your email address to your pics if you collect a certain type of bottle. I also recommend finding a bottle pic you like and having cards made up at Vista Print, they are good cards at a great price and I use them for cards for work and now for bottles...

Here are the cards I just ordered...

Great score Jim, congrats!

Please post close-ups of the collection pieces when ya can.

Also, I have never heard of a pint/16 ounce hutch, so if you could post a lineup of the normal, pint, and quart hutches that would be sweet to see. I wonder if there are any 1/2 gallon or full gallon hutches out there?
Hi Plumb, you're right I never really thought about, when I first started collecting three years ago everyone was calling the smaller sizes pints and the larger sizes quarts, so I just adopted that 'Bottle Speak'. Truth be told is the smaller ones are closer to 6-9 ounces and I bet the larger ones ar in the 28-32 ounce area, I'll do some liquid measures to see. I have 30-35 'quarts' and they are all over the place size wise so it would be interesting to know the differences...

The 'quart' on the left is the new one... Note the difference in the size and thickness of the embossing on the new one... It's rare to see this style lip on a Swinley Hutch, you'll see why in the next pic.

This is the 3rd Swinley 'quart' and an upgrade on the one I had, note the 'common' citrate style lip, this is what you normally find on Swinley hutches. I've only seen regular 'hutch lips' on some of the 'quarts' but NEVER on a 'pint'...

I have been drooling over this Peter Rice 'quart' for a few years now ever since Bottlenut34(Greg) posted a pic of one on here, mainly because of Paterson being spelled wrong, well my patience was finally rewarded....

I have a decent amount of Greenwood bottles in my collection from both Fred & John, but I have zero Ryan bottles, so I was elated to see this Greenwood & Ryan 'quart' in the box when I unwrapped it. There are Ryan stoneware jugs, but I've never seen nor heard of a bottle with his name on it, UNTIL NOW! [:D] Stoked...

These William J. Morrison 'quarts' are not uncommon, but they are some of the nicest looking quarts out there, they have both vertical and horizontal embossing and it will get me half of my investment back by itself. I just need to check it against the one I have so I can decide which one to sell...

Here is the last of the 'quarts' in the group, it's actually more of the BLUTCH style with the longer neck and most likely had a Putnam Stopper. I need to check it to see if it's an upgrade or not to the one I have, one of them will be going to Ebay or used in a trade at our meeting tomorrow night. Very desirable because of the vertical diamond embossing, these always do well in the 'pint' size, so this 'quart' should do very well...

Hey there, Nice gets. I too am blown away by how many bottles you come up with from Paterson. It does indeed pay, to get your name out there, and advertise. I like your new cards. Those new finds are all nice . specially the last "Blutch" with the diamond embossing. It would seem you do alot of leg work, glad it pays off for you. Are you coming up to the Albany N.Y. show two weekends from now? would be good to see you. Digginfortogas- Randy, pharmboy-Tod, and myself botlenut-Mark will be there. would be cool to see ya.
