Oh yeah, then there are the killer shards.
They include a Lafeyette Coventry Flask, a Stoddard Glass Works Eagle flask, a Binnengers of some sort, and an awesome Boston Medicine, I believe it was a huge aqua 8 sided pontil. I'll show a pic of it next. Any guesses? I thought I knew all the Boston pontilled meds!

Here's the old pontil mystery shard. It looks to have been 8 sided, pontilled, aqua, and large , like 8"+ or so. The only embossing is " .. RATOR" as in "invigorator", and "STON" as in Boston. Use your imagination, I'd love to know what it went to. I collect rare shards that I dig, so this one is really interesting. Let me know !!!

That stuff was from the Epsom river dump(s) on Mon and Tues afternoon. Today ( Wed ) I dug for a few hours in the morning with Joel from up north at a dump I found up there. It isn't old, but there are plenty of whole bottles, some stuff to sell on Ebay, and maybe a goodie or 2 here or there. We came upon a slightly older vien and took home a few bottles. Right towards the end, I pulled up a fruit jar that looked pretty cool. Little did I know it was the best bottle I dug all week! It is an aqua quart, ground lip, embossed " THE SMALLEY JAR" with no damage at all. Surely worth getting cleaned. I went to work, and after I got home finally tonight, checked my Red Book, to find that it listed for $300-$400 five years ago! yee ha. It has no lid, so that counts for alot, but still a great jar!
Had a great great time out in the woods! No colored pontilled killer medicines to break the bank, but great fun, fresh air and exercise, and a few boxes of nice stuff to add to the pile! I feel lucky just to be out there digging!
Good luck with your digs, Bram

Hey Bram, Nice finds and great tails. Good to be out diggin aint it.

You should be able to pick up a lid for the Smalley pretty easy. They seem to be a little more common than the jars.

I enjoyed the pics and story.
