I know this is a forum for bottles but I have to share this find as I'm sure members of this forum find old beer cans frequently. A buddy and I were alerted to a crawlspace full of old beer cans under an art gallery in Albuquerque, NM. It turns out the gallery was a bar back in the 40's. We got permission from the gallery owner to check out the crawlspace and found the motherlode. We pulled out about 200 cans in near perfect condition from the late 1940's and early 50's. The cans came from New York, Wisconsin, California, Arizona and Colorado. We found 105 of the Eblings cans and in the beer can collecting community they have a value of about $125 each in this condition. I love to hear from anyone who has found cans while bottle hunting.

Conetops are definitely sought after by can collectors. Here is a photo of me in the crawl space with an Eblings can.

I have a little advice. Sell them slowly or you will flood the market and prices will drop. I did the same thing with some rare but now not so rare milk bottles I bought.

We've been doing just that...we've sold a few, traded a few and are taking the rest to the Beer Canvention in kansas City in September. We decided to be upfront and have posted our find on several message boards. In the past collectors have gotten very upset to find out large quantities of a can were found but the first few were sold at high prices. It makes sense to sell all a a reasonable price and keep everyone happy.
