Oldtimer, These amber ones sure "look" Stoddard, however, they are not. They are from the Baltimore Glass Works, and it makes sense since the merchant was also from Baltimore. It would have been a long hike from Stoddard down to Balto!

Nice post Broken S!!!! I'd love to see more advertisments from Mortimer & Mowbray or Hampton's. I understand they had a Gen Merchandise store. Since the bottle comes in so many colors it would make sense that there were diffent meds in each. V.Tincture sounds singular like one medicine. V.Tincture's - plural- would indicate more than one med. Wow

I had use my 2xers and read it 2 or 3 times just to make sure I understood [8D]. I've read some early newspaper type and it doesn't really seem possible without glasses. Alot of the time it's smaller ink runs together hard to understand because writing style is different. We've come a long way baby!!!

I had to go looking and found the the grouping of Hamptons at the bottom of the second page under "best bottle you've ever owned".
