One of the BEST bottles I ever dug had C & I on the base. They made some good stuff... would be an exciting field to collect.

What is the date range in that dumpsite? Nice flask for sure.

Thanks folks,

This was a privy not a dump. The other local ale was only in business for a couple of years in the early 1870's so the dates work with yours Surfaceone.
It's actually the second one I've dug over 5 years. I chose the ale in the split and my buddy got the flask.

Nice flask. Seems all that we ever find have no embossing so it is nice to see one with it!!
