Previous owner has passed and I know nothing about its history. Is this a reproduction? Real civil war era bottle? Something else? Let me know if other pictures would be helpful!

This looks like a repro to me, I think machine made. I think i see a seem line go all the way to the top

Yes, that flask is most likely a repro. No ware. However you'll probably still get about $15. on a good day. Hang in there, a gem is out there somewhere waiting on you.

Repro, top is all wrong, I got the real thing, about 12 different ones & a rare amber one. All have the same top or similar & top nothing like yours. Leon.
