Man, I cried when I dug some light cornflower flask shards. I have never seen any in that deep cobalt. I feel your pain [:(]. ~Jim

here i a pic of another shard i think it may be from the oppisite side, also think it was near the bottom because this piece is alot thicker and darker blue
i wonder if there is any record of this color variant, or where it was made. just curious maybe baltimore glass works, it was found about 75 miles southeast of baltimore

, every bottle at this site was broke, proably 75 to 80 pontils this piece here takes the cake

okay i will first off state i was wrong but i did find the bottle or historical flask that it is not enough of it to tell exactly but i can for sure group it down to a list of 3 those would be the following from mckearins book page #553 and 555 (GI-117 or 120 or 121) that would be about it i am posting a pic of the line drawing for all but the 121 it is very near the other 2 also when you posted the other piece it would be from toward the bottom right side of the flask that would be her hair i did not mean to get any one confused i did not look at the leg good enough then took out my gII-73 and said i made a mistake then went back and looked and found the answer i guess i will not jump so fast sorry about that but it is still and awsome flask that is known to come in sapphire GI-117 and the GI-120 is listed only in aquamarine and saphire blue extremly rare is listed in aquamarine the 121 is listed in sapphire blue and peacock blue listed as coparitivly scarce but in these colors is rare oh well to me it is still the best cryer ive seen

bob

oh well so sorry about the size and all the black i dont know what happened to my program
sorry bob

Probe Zilla,

I think Deer4x4 is right It looks like a Columbia eagle. Being you found it south of Baltimore i would not be surpprised if its The GI-119 mold thats the one that usually turns up in Baltimore. I've found pieces of it in aqua, yellow green, sapphire blue like yours, and deep amber. I;ve also bee told of puce shards being found by my digging partner. Being this mold doesn't have a glasshouse name. I have felt that this mold may have been blown at a baltimore glasshouse to compete with the philly examples.
