hey all well this is what i found out about the bottle was made by the owens bottle com.it was a rush order for then commander BYRD. they were to be used for specimens and for determining current drift an some were to be throw overboad with notes inside.only 500 of this bottles were produced what id like to know is how did one in up on the ohio river bank an whats it worth. any reply would be welcome .gotta get a camera a friend posted these for me. have a ton more new find to show an ask about i love this stuff thank yall
