Thanks to all who commented on the chances of cistern contents. I went down last Friday to have a look around and the cistern was all covered up with the building destruction. I will look for dump and privy. NRW

Could you experienced privy locators explain to me some strategies on laying out a grid to find privys? How big of a grid do you work within, what distance do you run probe lines within the layed out grid, anything to explain gridding out a yard to find a privy? Thanks
I dug last Friday but was greeted by water at about 3/4 feet down. I do believe the water table is up due to all the snow in Feb. Does anyone have any ideas how quickly the water table drops here in the Ohio? Thanks for all inputs on this matter, NRW
