Picked up a few of these early pottery beer bottles. They are stamped C Whitting Onekama. Others say Carl Whitting Onekama. I believe these date to the 1870’s andcwere made by the Herman pottery firm in Milwaukee Wi. Can anyone tell me about them?
Can anyone give me the current value of a Roussel forest green pontilled soda. This is the one with the large block letters that wrap around the entire bottle. Embossing reads ROUSSEL PHILAD. Not sure if my offer is fair. Contemplating selling it. Damage free about perfect example. Thanks!
Tom

I was strolling through a local antique/resale shop here in Wisconsin recently. I ended up buying some nice antique bottles. Everything from Seltzer bottles to these early soda or mineral waters. Here is a shot of 3 early examples. What can you tell me about the one that says Headman Philada or...
Here is a rare 1870's blob half pint beer from the tiny town of Watertown Wi. Charles Fuermann was a beer brewer in the late 1870's. This came during a river dive for bottles not far from my house. I had never even found a shard of one of thse and this one was in a pile with 5 other broken...
My friend Bob had offered some of these on this forum in the past. I recently found just under 300 of them in that same lake his came from. Many have the rubber gaskets still on the end. Patent dates are 1864 and 1884 on these. Many very nice examples. If you need one or 100 for your bottles, I...
I picked these up today, after making a woman an offer for them yesterday. She advertised some old bottles for sale in a local ad. Evidently it didn't take her long to decide to sell them to me, as the deal was done first thing this morning. They came out of the greater Milwaukee Wi. area over...
Bob (blobbottlebob) here on ABN, and I slipped into a local lake on Tuesday evening in search of pontilled bottles. We each went off in a different direction and sunk. Very few bottles came out, and certainly nothing pontilled. I did however find this antique fishing reel that dates to the mid...
What can anyone tell me about this one? Embossed E.FERRISS / GLENS FALLS NEW YORK. I found it here in a river in Wisconsin. It is a nice early applied blob beer with the Dean Foster & Co Boston glass house mark on the base. Aqua, whittled, no damage really anywhere. Thanks in advance! Tom
We dove a two tanker today, my friend Bob got a nice pontilled cure which I am sure he will post up soon enough. Although this sign was not found underwater, but rather in an old farmhouse recently! I bought it from the finder two days ago, and thought it was worth posting up! It is a porcelain...
I know little about these early flasks. I was hoping someone could identify this version and give me some info on it. It is an olive amber, peppered with tiny seed bubbles, and has a single eagle motif on each side, Here are some pics, Thanks in advance,
Tom
We dove again today in a sweet spot that has been throwing nice quart clay beers. In addition I pulled an unbelievably rare tiny town Wisconsin glass Co, hutch. The hutch was the real treat for me as this town is less than 20 miles away from my home and it has been on my top 5 want list for...
I am not sure what this is, but am guessing an ink bottle maybe? It is embossed on the flat end PIERCE BUF NY PATd MAY 14th 78. Has a scalloped bottom but sits upright pefectly when placed on a table. Has a rectangular knob of glass just behind a ground lip opening on top. Lastly a curved front...
Unfortunately I found this one diving today without it's top. I was quite happy to see the Iron Pontil on the bottom. I hardly ever find anything Iron pontilled. It reads PROFESSOR WOODS / HAIR RESTORATIVE DEPOTS / ST.LOUIS & NEW YORK. Anyway I will show all 4 sides as well as the base in...
We snorkeled a river in a very old town here in Southeastern Wisconsin today. We had been here before (downstream) and found several embossed crown sodas, and some embossed milks too. I usually dive lakes, but with the heavy flooding we experienced earlier in the year, many riverbeds were washed...
I found this bottle today diving my favorite spot in the river. It looks to be about 1890's. light green aqua strap sided medicine. Embossed TOWN TALK/TRADEMARK REG. I have found hundreds of patent meds while diving but this one has me stumped! What the heck is TOWN TALK?????
Thanks!
Tom
Here are a few shots of last evenings dive in a large lake here in Southeastern Wisconsin. The usual booty we get out of this lake is turn of the century hand finished crown beers and sodas, hutchinson sodas, and blob weiss beers. Most are from the bigger names in the business out of Milwaukee...
This one came on a dive this past summer. My question is, Is it any good? It is early, with a nice applied top. The glass Company is W. McC&Co. The color is a yellow/olive green. I plan to meet a friend tomorrow and possibly trade this one off. Just wondering if it was any good? Value?I will...
