Hey Brad, the place I usually dig is city property with a walking trail by it too. I don't go between Dec and March because it is too visible when the leaves are off the trees but during the Spring it grows up and remains concealed for 8 months. Unless they mow every two weeks just wait for the weeds and brush to get tall enough and then you got it made. You could walk in before daylight and when you're ready to go just wait till the coast is clear and get out quick.
Have you been run out of there before? If not, go for it and if you get caught just plead "Its not private property, I didn't think anyone would care about some old trash."
