shoveler ~

Have you been able to determine the exact date on the carton? And if so, how?

Thanks.

ORIGINAL: shoveler

By the time the 16 oz. bottles came out, which I also have, the Ya-ooo! was well gone.

PS ~

The book I referred to earlier shows a picture of 1971 16 ounce acl with "Ya-hooo" on the label. I will scan and post a picture of it shortly ...

Thanks for the compliment, but I am definitely not a Mountain Dew expert in any sense of the word. However, I do have about 500 soda bottles and enjoy doing Internet research. Plus I have several good books I can refer to.

By the way, your picture did not post properly. Be sure to put a check mark in the box where it says "Embed picture in post"

Wow....lol...I was trying to post our three Mountain dew bottles but it threw up the Christmas cokes instead and said the file was to large for me to post Mt. dew bottles, I am still fairly new to the site and still learning can anyone tell me hoe to crop the photo so i can post my pics here? Thanks and sorry about that:9

Any re-sizing (I use 450 to 500) will likely have to be done wherever you store your pictures. There should be an indicator of some type to show you how to do it.

Good luck!

Please check the bases of your bottles and tell us how they are marked regarding the dates they were made? If unsure, just post whatever marks and/or numbers you do find.

Thanks.

Thank you for your help Sodapopbob, again your very nice and helpful:) I tried resizing but it wouldn't do it ill try and try again...lol so the pic was three together I had to crop them one by one so the file wasn't to large and again this bottle hasn't been cleaned yet...what the base thing to clean the ACL's with i dont want to ruin this interesting bottle cleaning it with something I shouldn't...thanks sodapopbob!
