I have been using Sanborns for many years, and they are quite a useful tool to help locate digging places. They don't show dumps, but many have privies identified by box shaped outlines within the perimeters of the lot. I call it "dial a privy", 'cause all 'ya gotta do is measure, probe, and dig. Too easy.
