    some TOC stuff

Here's some TOC stuff i've been finding at a dump i just recently started digging. It's mostly post 1900... but with a few older things mixed in here and there. It's a fun dump to dig... got some nice age to it, it's not trespassing, and there's a river about 30 feet away from the hole i'm...

    Found a local, and a not-so local

I had a moment the other day before work, so i decided to go dig for the bottles. Here's what i found, a nice local pharm. and an OP turlingtons, that seems to be in great condition. Enjoy my poor-quality picture.

    nice weather dig

Herd about a dump with some good age to it, so i went to check it out... The stuff's about 3-4 feet down and i'm finding stuff from what looks like the late 1860's to the early 1890's. Here's the first thing i found: cute little ink well... with a big crack in the lip. It's camouflaged with...

    Bricks...

"gasp" THis is so... unexpected (finds): Heres some ohio... or west virginia... or maybe even pennsylvania bricks i found recently. Some were part of the Aetnaville bridge, and some of them came from a culvert along the Cleveland and Southwestern traction line.

    LRI's

Seems like people dig up alot of lightning rod insulators (L.R.I.'s) in dumps and such so if you got one i'de like to se a picture of it. Recently i'm more interested in these little pieces of glass so i would be interested in seeing what styles the people here have managed to find. I'll post...

    It was a Great hunt...

...In the ghetto. Todays hunt got off to a rough start, at first we didn't even plan on doing anything even remotely related to insulators but when our plans got canceled we found the time to go and hunt on a line where we knew we could find some Lynchburg 44's and olive green hemingray 40's...

    Street fair insulators

Got these for $12 at a street fair today, the bullet was made from the same mold as the ice aqua/green one i posted earlier but at a later date in a different factory and by the same company. The hemingray 40 was made around the late 1910's up till 1921 when the style was replaced by the...

    Glass turtle!

Well i will compromise. It's not an insulator or bottle ar jar or what ever, it's a turtle. Not the most eliquent chunk of glass yet you would be surprized at how nice it is. It was made by the hemingray glass company in Muncie Indiana around the earlie 1900's and is in mint condition. These...

    Big bubble, thin glass!

Saw thais ball jar in an antique shop yesterday. I dont think it's anything rare (correct me if i am wrong) but it does have a jiant bubble in it! Also a small chunk of metal in the lip or whatever you call it. I think it's a "ground lip" and it reads 2 over 10 on the base. Also picked up a nice...
