$22k bottle on ebay

Heard pontil bottle for $22,000 just listed. This guy wants a stimulus or what??? I have seen "one of a kind" bottles with no bids before, they were clear or aqua though, but still, this guy is nuts.

Woa. Before I made it to ebay, I thought that someone paid 22k for the bottle. When I was looking at it, I couldn't see any way that the bottle would be worth that much (being pontil ERA). I feel better now. I wonder what kind of fees you have to pay ebay just to have the starting price that high??

It looks to me to be the same bottle.If its American its good but not that good.

I think you are being hard on the seller...no reserve - you pick the color - it should be a pontil - only $15 shipping - and it's a one-of-a-kind twin!!! Oh yea - there isn't a member of this forum who wouldn't sell it for 22k if they owned it, me included!! I'd even bubble wrap it at my own expense to ship it. Let the bidding frenzy begin....Ron

Wow... I'm seeing but not believing....
I went to ebay via the link but found nothing.
What I find most unbelievable is that I HAVE this bottle
somewhere, packed in my mom's stuff I removed from storage a few months ago and have just started to go through.
I have a few bottle boxes loaded with antique beer bottles and the lot.
Stuff that we dug up ourselves or came across in the Panama Canal Zone (former)
Where do people get an idea of what their bottles might be valued?
