Alligator Oil bottle from Crows Drugstore, Jefferson, Texas

Has anybody ever seen this bottle? Its an Alligator Oil bottle from Crows Drugstore, Jefferson, Texas
Has an alligator embossed on the front, and also Crow's Alligator Oil. It was dug in Jefferson Texas by an old digger, who has since passed away. Story was he had dug 4 but 2 are gone forever, broken and discarded but still has one and I have the other.

Heavens, the mind absolutely boggles ! What on earth did one do with it? This could be in Bostaurus's field, but I don't suppose you fed it to alligators, or rubbed it into their bruises !!

I was told it was used to repell mosquitoes here in Texas. This is same man who had Crows Chill Cure. He also had a dose glass and drugstore bottle with a crow sitting on the edge of the glass. See other pic below post

What a killer bottle! I have no useful information to offer but in case deacon_frost doesn't see this I will post an image of one of the coolest (and rarest) bottles he has dug from his town of Boonville, MO, also embossed with an alligator which was actually kept as a pet/zoo attraction in the drug store. Hopefully he sees it and can add more info:

So are you saying that this is one of only 2 examples of Alligator Oil around? For a glueback it looks quite nice, hope you can find or dig one someday.

Four of these were dug by the same man in Jefferson, Texas, one was in very bad condition and pieces missing and the other was dropped and broke into a million piecs, he has the only good one, and I have the broken one that came out of the hole like this. So there are only 2 left, his and mine.
