Nationally they are super rare I am sure, but here in Texas they are middle of the road rarity. There are probably 20-30 complete examples spread around in different collections. Still a very nice bottle though. I know people have seen it, but here is my favorite pictorial Texas bottle.

Thanks for sharing Doyle! I saw you called, but my phone is too dead to talk on it. I will call you back tomorrow evening.

Here is a really rare one I dug a while back. Simmons Chill Cure Tasteless A.C. Simmons Jr. Med. Co. ACS monogram. Thanks to Doyle finding a add from the company we were able to prove it is from Texas. There was another cure from this company, and a few other embossed meds. The milk glass streak is pretty sweet also.

That is the one our mutual friend dug. Talk about a killer! Having the price on the bottle adds a lot to it. I like that CCC chancre cure from Palestine. From what I was told the owner found it in a random antique mall off I-45. Texas may not have had a ton of really old stuff, but we sure did have some cool stuff!

cool gater there texas bottleman2.... you must be stoked to own a rare piece like that...and thanks plummy for thinking about my gater.....i will give you the story (sorry dont mean to hijack) it came from dans drug store owned by dan wooldridge, who ran his business from 1877 til 1900 and in the store he had a museum of oddities..like indian artifacts, relics from the mexican, morman and civil war, mastadons tooth different types of fish and animals and a liver gater that he would take out and handle( it was said that he was the only one the gater would allow to handle him) and by the cage read a sign "dont devil the alligator" well anyway thats where his logo came from on his bottle.....my best friend ( i call him my brother from another mother) and digging partner was the first one to find one, and then he found another and being the kind of person he is gave me one of them...since then i have found another in a dump site and got one off ebay that slipped thru the cracks and must not have been noticed by the boonville collectors...and as far as i know and from what other boonville collectors have told me i own three of the four known examples with my good buddy owning the fourth.

Great to know the history of a bottle, that what I like.
At one time I was writing a book on Morrisons Old Corner Drug Store where in Waco, Texas in 1885 Dr Pepper was born. It was owned by W.B. Morrison. I had over 32 drug and medicine bottles from there and found the chronology of all the slogans from there. That was fun to know all the dates of my bottles and see ads with them. See pic below of two different styles.
