Hi Truedigr, That is the real deal, I have seen one other before. I believe it is a whikey rather than a bitters and must be pretty rare.If you ever figure out a price I would be very interested in purchasing it.Please let me know either way. Thanks, Kevin

Thirdly, I believe this firm to be attorneys or lawyers during the Civil War. When I found this out, I was wondering why they would have an embossed bottle?? Robert

If you look on the base pics, the edge of the base is worn almost acid etching worn. I guess it is hard to see, but I can spot it in the first base pic pretty well.

well...if I was gonna repop a barrel, I'd go for a Mansfields Highland Bitters & Scotch Tonic...not a totally unknown "brand" that may be worth $500 tops...

I was hoping Jim (epackage) was going to find another bottle or company info. as he does quite often. He is great at finding info. I've tried googling and came up with some old documents and checks on this one site that were too small to read. Robert
