Can you help?
I don’t know if this is a New England chestnut flask, but it appears similar in shape. The bottle was excavated years ago in Manhattan, NY, don’t know if Dutch or British? I was told it was pre Revolutionary War, and I haven’t seen the added spiral around neck before. Bottle is 9 1/2" high and approx. 6 1/2" wide at widest point. Can you provide any insight? All help is greatly appreciated.
