After three years of fruitless searching and a hard-core bidding battle with the big boys, I finally have the one bottle that I would choose over any other. I will get some better pictures in the daylight soon, but these are what I snapped quick tonight.

This is the earliest known Lewistown bottle, the Soult & Zerbe iron pontil squat soda. This is only the seventh example that I know of to exist, and is by far the nicest I have seen. There is some interesting history about this bottle on my website (link below). Thanks for checking it out, better pix to come soon! ~Jim

I have replaced the first pictures with better ones. I did not get a chance to do any daylight shots today, but will soon.

I know this is a bad picture, but it shows the color contrast between the Soult & Zerbe's rich teal green and the medium aqua of my other Lewistown squat on the left.

Have you had your iron today? Why yes, yes I have [:D]. This base picture is much better. I was in a hurry to get this posted last night, and my picture quality suffered.

Hey, that's a nice website you've got there. Good to see someone take the time to put that up.

Thanks, guys. I meant to get some daylight pictures today, but was busy with wedding preparations. Here is a better picture of the whole bottle. I'm going to get some good pictures in natural light of both of my Lewistown squats, hopefully tomorrow. ~Jim

There isn't anything better than a rare local bottle to those who are into preserving their local history.
