IT surprises me that I don't know the buyer. I had two in mind that I thought would purchase it. I am not familiar with this buyer at all. I would bet he is not from Texas either. I know most of the big collectors here. Not that I am one, but I sure like seeing their collections! That bottle could be a one bottle collection for me. I would dedicate a room to it! A Texas museum should have bought it.

Actually, I am pretty certain he is from Texas. He buys a lot of nice stuff, I would have to call him a fairly heavy hitter.

I believe he is in Houston now. I just checked and his last post here was in April but his last login was today. Maybe he will speak up about that RT bottle.
I too was surprised one of the big Texas bottle collectors didn't buy it but I guess the price was too high for a bottle that probably is not really from Texas.
