You have to love Texas if you follow the weather.

We bought 100 head of lonhorns from Texas last fall. They were rather skinny when they arrived do to the draught, but are full of hay now and are calving like crazy. With the mild weather here they have adjusted wonderfully. They have a totally different attiude than our black angus.

Too bad I am moving or I would tell your daughter to use us as a home-away-from-home. I will be back and forth though since hubby has to stay up here with his job.
Renee...they are looking good! Hardy beasts, those longhorns.

Thanks Melinda,She is a full fledged cheese head now.

Look at the radar in Texas a nice steady soaking rain. http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/south-central/weather-radar?play=true Boy this is good news down there. This so called climate expert said the following The current drought will worsen ..... http://www.houstontomorrow.org/livability/story/climate-scientists-say-drought-will-worsen/ WRONG ITS OVER......... Again wrong here http://www.climatecentral.org/news/record-breaking-texas-drought-and-heat......And lastly the pie eyed piper of hyped doomsday A G W idiocy James Hansen who said the following The Texas drought is now the most expensive on record, having caused more than $5 billion in damages. The latest outlook from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicts that the drought will persist across much of Texas at least through end of April 2012. http://insideclimatenews.org/news/20120131/texas-heat-and-drought-caused-global-warming-climate-change-james-hansen-nasa-science-skeptics-oklahoma-moscow Wrong again Jim!! The drought is over....Beneficial rains are occurring now, this weekend next week and the week after that with the likelihood of a large Gulf Storm at the end of this month.

And the rain continues, the drought is over in the Eastern most quadrants of Texas. The central part of the state is almost out of the woods and even the west and south western part which were the driest have seen beneficial snows and rains with a good soaking coming to just about all of Texas next week. Here is tonight's radar. http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/eastern-texas/weather-radar?play=true Heavy rain keeps regenerating itself every few hours.
